Septic Program – New!

Grant Funding for Septic Tank Pump Outs

Kent Conservation District is pleased to announce the availability of grant funds for homeowners in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed, located in Kent County, Delaware.

Performing routine maintenance, such as a septic pump out not only prolongs the life of the system but protects our surface and ground waters from contamination.  The DNREC grant, Chesapeake Bay Implementation, will provide a 50% cost share up to $200 per qualifying applicant on a first come first serve basis.

  • The residence must be within the Chesapeake Bay Watershed,
  • Must utilize a septic hauler from the approved list, licensed and insured in Delaware, and
  • Complete the online application. You must receive approval before scheduling your pump-out service.
