FY 2025 Cover Crop Sign-Up

The annual sign-up period for the Kent Conservation District’s Cover Crop Cost-Share Program will take place starting Monday, June 3 through Friday, August 30, 2024. This popular grant program provides farmers in Kent County, Delaware with cost-share assistance to offset seed, labor, and equipment costs to plant fall cover crops to protect local water quality, build healthy soils, and capture carbon from the atmosphere. 2024 Poster Contest

The Annual NACD Poster Contest is open to all public, private and home-schooled students grades K-12!!! This year’s theme is “MAY THE FOREST BE WITH YOU ALWAYS”. Tree for Every Delawarean Initiative

Kent Conservation District is taking part in the “Tree for Every Delawarean Initiative”. This program’s goal is to plant at least one tree for every Delawarean. This effort of building healthy and resilient forests is crucial in the effort to reduce the effects of climate change on the State of Delaware.
